New York: Part Two

You can read part NYC: part one here.

Saturday we had a food tour with Foods of NY Tours.  Even if you live in NYC, you would still enjoy these tours as they have them for a variety of neighborhoods.  A few of the people on our tour lived in the east village.

This was definitely a highlight of our trip.  If you find yourself planning a trip to NYC, do yourself a favor and book a food tour through this company.  They have tours through tons of neighborhoods but ours was in NoLita/NoHo.  During our stops, we noshed on delicious treats to the tune of gourmet cupcakes, pizza, cuban sandwiches, cookies, and unique appetizers.  Everything we ate was different and delish.   I snapped a few photos throughout the tour.

NoLita

Stop #1: The Little Cupcake Bakery
So adorable!
We had Brooklyn Blackout cupcakes here.

Stop #2: Emporio
We had fresh brick oven pizza topped with mozzarella, ricotta, arugula, prosciutto, and cherry tomatoes.

Stop #3: Can't remember the name but we had a Cuban Sandwich topped with garlic dill pickles and a side of seasoned kale chips. We also ordered some sangria that wasn't included in the tour ; )

 Sweet friends.

Stop #4: Tacombi NYC

We tried 2 kinds of their specialty tacos: corn & pork.

Stop #5: The Smile. This place is apparently tiny so we didn't go inside.
We sampled their Ricotta & cherry tomato on multigrain which was one of my favorite tastings.  So very simple yet so very tasty.
Stop #6: Our final stop was at Peels.  They were slammed for brunch but had a nice little outdoor spot to hang out while we waited for the next tasting: salted chocolate cookies. These were right out of the oven and so so good.

Stop by for part 3 tomorrow!
